Overview:
Our client is seeking a Clinical Specialist – Cardiothoracic (CT) to provide clinical expertise, training, and strategic account support for a portfolio of cardiac surgery products across an assigned region. This role partners closely with clinical teams, hospital stakeholders, and internal sales and implementation teams to ensure successful product adoption, utilization, and customer outcomes.The Clinical Specialist plays a critical role in supporting evaluations, training, and ongoing clinical use while helping expand product usage within key hospital accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a trusted clinical partner to hospital customers within the assigned territory
• Provide product education, in-services, and clinical training to physicians and staff
• Support product evaluations, demonstrations, and case coverage as needed
• Collaborate with implementation and sales teams to ensure successful customer outcomes
• Observe procedures to understand physician preferences and clinical workflows
• Identify opportunities to expand product utilization within existing accounts
• Maintain strong relationships with clinicians, administrators, and internal stakeholders
• Support new installations and ongoing use of cardiac surgery products
• Participate in regional meetings, trainings, and conferences as required
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality systems, and regulatory requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile•
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 5 years combined clinical experience in a hospital setting and/or sales support, including product education and training
• Strong background in cardiothoracic, cardiac surgery, or related clinical environments preferred
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with physicians and hospital staff
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working independently across a large geographic territory
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
• Ability to travel in assigned territory
• Must reside within the assigned region and hold a valid driver’s license
Compensation & Benefits:
• Total Compensation: $160,000 – $165,000 (base + at-plan incentive), depending on experience and location
